Meet your Collierville Dragon coaching staff


HEAD COACH: Gareth Munro

Munro was born in Scotland where he attended Cumbernauld High School. After graduating, he played soccer professionally for Stirling Albion FC and coached for the Scottish Football Association at their youth development centers. In 2003 he moved to Jackson, Tennessee and attended Union University on a soccer scholarship. Munro obtained a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. Since his arrival to the Memphis area, he has been coaching with the Collierville Lobos Rush soccer club in addition to his duties at Briarcrest Christian.
He is married to wife Michelle and the couple are proud parents of their daughter Hazel. They are expecting the arrival of their son Hughie, in October.


ASSISTANT COACH:  Troy Smigelski

Born in Orlando, FL into a family of four; Troy moved to Jackson, TN in 2002 and completed high school at the University School of Jackson, where he was a multi-sport athlete receiving All-State honors. In college, he spent two years playing soccer at the University of Alabama, then transferred to Union University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. He coached for 2 years at USJ and is entering his second year at CHS. Outside of soccer, him and his wife, Jana, are pursuing their Master’s degrees while traveling as much as possible.

ASSISTANT COACH:  Justin Motroni

A Collierville High School Dragon Alumni, Justin is a first year coach with the program. Born and raised in Collierville, Just is a full time student currently enrolled at the University of Memphis. Justing played for the Collierville Lobos from age 5 until 18 and won 2 state titles during his playing career. He enjoys spending his spare time hanging out with friends.
